Anní Ólafsdóttir is an Icelandic film director born in Reykjavík Iceland in 1989. She graduated from The Film School of Iceland in 2012 with a degree in script-writing and directing. She has worked and collaborated in various fields of art and film in Iceland and has been noticed and nominated for her talent as director, editor, cinematographer and script writer. Anni’s first feature length documentary, The Hero’s journey to the third pole, was nominated as best cinematography, script, editing, original score and director of the year by the Icelandic film academy in 2021 and was premiered at CPH:DOX. Her second feature documentary Apausalypse was nominated as best documentary at the Icelandic film academy in 2022, and can be seen on the website of Emergence Magazine. She has worked and collaborated with many artists, as co-director with Andri Snær Magnason, an art film for Ólafur Elíasson, as director of music videos for Marketa Irglova and Zebra Katz and DOP for Ólafur Arnalds.
